It’s rare to work on a project that combines your professional career by day and your creative passions by night.

Master’s Gauge Collection is Libbey’s premium 18/10 stainless steel flatware. Due to the competitive landscape, the market was ripe for making a splash. The sales team needed a statement piece to do this product justice.

This high style product needed a high style, fashion centric brand. Often thought of as the jewelry of the table, this impressive flatware also was impressive in size. This innovative fan-deck approach allowed each pattern to be featured at full size, a major sales team painpoint, all in a compact format. With the feature fork and knife on the front, the back held all the SKU level detail. And to push it over the top, I was commissioned to make the custom branded leather carrying sleeves for presentation value and to protect the fan-decks.

To push it even further over the top, we had to tackle how to stylishly and functionally display each flatware pattern. I designed and made custom leather handled wood trays that would allow for mobility and the affixed wrapped glasses made for great storage for the remaining pieces. These were featured at the National Restaurant Assoc. Show and then taken to be displayed at their Chicago product showroom.
