ProTec Coating company is a partner child of U.S. Steel and Kobe Steel. They treat and coat rolled steel for different manufacturing purposes. We were tasked to assist with the unveiling of a new state-of-the-art production line, as well as a rebrand. The new production line allows steel to be thinner, lighter and stronger by heating and cooling it to specific temperatures. A key attribute for car manufactures looking for lighter, but safer body builds to hit the required MPG standards from the government.
With this huge unveil, the plant was to be toured to better explain the process. We were to assist with rebranding the company, its core collateral and two-day event material to better explain the complex process. I was fortunate enough to have the client pick a logo redesign of mine. It had to work as an 1-color embroidery, as well as a 3-dimensional sign. The tour signs were located at key process points of the plant to be further explained by an employee. They were accompanied with corresponding floor dot iconography for the guests to follow along through the process.
